  • Lectio Divina Retreat with Fr. Ted Martin

    3/3 9am @ Transformations Spirituality Center

If you are looking for a spiritual retreat to attend and/or a unique way to deepen your prayer life and strengthen your relationship with Christ, please consider the Open Retreat offered this spring by the Office of Evangelization, Catechesis, and Initiation.  All are invited.  The retreat will take place at Transformations Spirituality Center at Nazareth and will begin with Mass at 9AM on Saturday, March 3, 2012 and conclude following Mass at 9:30 AM on Sunday, March 4, 2012.

On this retreat, Fr. Ted Martin will lead you through four conferences exploring the ancient Christian practice of Lectio Divina (Divine Reading).   He will show you how to discover the spiritual benefits of incorporating prayerful reading, mediation, and contemplation of Christ's words into your own prayer life with the goal of hearing Christ’s voice calling you to friendship and challenging you to conversion and renewal. In addition to these four conferences, the retreat includes the opening and closing Masses, the Sacrament of Reconciliation, Eucharistic Adoration, and personal opportunities for prayer.

There are three different options (and costs) for the retreat: double-occupancy, single-occupancy, and commuter.  No matter which option is chosen, all meals and snacks from Saturday lunch through Sunday breakfast and all retreat materials are included. The initial registration deadline is Friday, February 10, 2012.
